Valeria Gallo

Valeria Gallo is a Mexican illustrator born in 1973. She studied at the Design School of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, in Mexico City. Almost immediately her professional profile was defined: animation, character design and illustration, mostly targeted to child audiences. Valeria has collaborated with many publishing houses from Mexico, Spain, and Brasil, such as: CIDCLI, Editorial Castillo, Edelvives, Santillana, Anaya, Edelbra, Ediciones SM, etc. In 2011, Valeria Gallo won first place in the XXI Illustrators Catalogue of Children and Young Adults CONACULTA. She was also chosen to design the image of FILIJ 32 in 2012 and to form part of the Iberamerican Catalog of Illustration 2013. She is the illustrator of: ¿Cómo se piden las cosas? And ¿Cómo se escriben las cosas?
