Who we are

CIDCLI is a publisher of children’s books defined by two features: more than 30 years of experience in publishing and the spirit of renewal that characterizes younger generations.

We incorporate new tools, formats and production techniques to our traditional line. Paper and digital publications share the stage equally at CIDCLI.

We are still guided by the same philosophy: form and content are presented as a single unit that integrates the written word and visual components. Our writers, illustrators, designers and editors work together to create the highest quality children’s and young adult books.

We publish both fiction and non-fiction collections. We have produced a quality backlist that has received much national and international recognition. Our books proudly form part of the cultural heritage of many public libraries.

We are always enriching our literature series: in addition to publishing those recognized writers who have formed the backbone of our publishing house for many years, we also offer titles that hail from other languages and countries. We encourage the expansion of language, either in the original or in quality translations.

We emphasize the mission of creating new readers and contributing to the intellectual growth of all children. Our books utilize playful and fun elements to promote the pleasure of reading, with methods to increase interest in books.

We are constantly expanding our list of science-based books including reference titles which allow our youngest readers as well as young adults to make use of new techniques of learning, reflection and analysis.
